So we got back from our visit trip on Monday. It was fantastic. We had a few communication problems through the trip, but nothing to major. Kirsten was perfect!!!! Here's the run down of our trip.

Wednesday we got there and the fm (foster mom) never showed between 4:30-5pm with Kirsten. I called DeColores around 6:30 and let them know. They finally got ahold of the fm and they said she would be there within an hour to an hour and a half. I was CLIMBING THE WALLS!!!!! She finally showed up and spoke no english so the girl @ the front desk translated for us. Kirsten cried and cried when the foster mom gave her to us and she continued to cry till about 9:30 and FINALLY fell alseep. The first night she woke up every 3-4 hours and would only take half of her formula. But by the second full day she was with us she was sleeping through the night and taking 6oz every 3 hours (and we mean EVERY 3 hours on the dot!) She loved to laugh and giggle. She would laugh so loud if you did airplane with her. Her bright pink bouncer was her favorite and when she was cranky sometimes it was the only thing she would fall asleep in. She is the definition of Prissy! If she spit up while you were feeding her she would stop eating and cry until you wiped her face. She wanted her diaper changed the minute it was dirty and she is definatly going to be a daddys girl! Tommy ended up getting sick on Friday and I ended up sick on Sunday so it made it a little hard on each of us. Tommy's dad came with us and just thought the world of her. The San Carlos is very nice, the food was good, and the staff was fantastic! Monday we gave her back and the fm was fantastic. Kirsten cried when we gave her back which was the best feeling in the world (weird but true!) We asked her to call her Kirsten and she said no problem :-) She seemed very caring and loving towards Kirsten and we are so blessed that she is well taken care of. It was really hard to leave her and I held up pretty good until they went to walk out the door and then I starting crying :-( The trip was definatly priceless and irreplaceable, but also bittersweet in itself because it was so hard to leave her, but so nice to be going home.

We are planning to go back as soon as we get out of PGN and foster the last few weeks if DeColores will allow us. We are just counting our blessings and hoping that we will have PA next week/the week after and we will have a quick trip in pgn!
