I actually did it. I cut Kirsten's mullet off!!!! She has always had this bottom part of the back that has been long but in the last month her hair has started filling in and growing underneath it and it just looked really bad so tonight I finally got up the guts to cut it off! She looks bald to me now :-( but at least the back will all grow in all together now. I will attach a before and after picture.

I know I'm gonna regret cutting it tomorrow....oh well! Onto some other news, Tom is bring his mom with him to come see Kirsten on Friday. This will be the first time his mom has ever seen her so it should be fun :-)

OK So let me tell you how hard it is to try and navigate the editing part of this blog in spanish! LOL and I don't know a word of spanish (other then the basics good morning, hello, see you tomorrow, etc!) Kirsten has had 3 very very good days....very few tantrums, has been very loving and happy and she seems to be settling into her new schedule really good. I have noticed it seems like she is having nightmares sometimes during her naps and at night but if I wake her up she seems to be ok after that. We are still waking up at least twice through the night and this is a hard adjustment coming from the baby who slept through the night at 4 months old. I am gonna try baby oatmeal in her nightime bottle instead of rice cereal and see if that holds her over a bit longer.

I am so excited Tom is coming next Friday to visit for a week and I miss him SOOOOOOOO much. It's amazing how much you can miss someone in such a short period of time (this is the first time in 6 years we have been apart longer then a few days). I am getting very home sick and hoping we get out of PGN in the next 2 weeks and we can be home by the end of August. Thankfully our attorney is known to get POA for the final sign off and Kirsten's birth city does same day birth certifcate issuing so the end of august could definatly be a possibility! I am just gonna pray over and over that our agency and attorney will really step up to the plate and hopefull make it a very short stay after pgn :-)

Current Mood: e-x-h-u-s-t-e-d!!!!!

This little girl can MOVE! She is all over the place!!! She is so cute but she can be such a brat too. We are slowly correcting a few things like what the word "No" means and that it really isn't funny and she is starting to listen to me finally which is awesome because she was getting into everything. We are starting to correct the - oh your eating well I guess that means I'm intitled to some of your food too - which she is not liking but today was the first day I told her she wasn't getting any because she already had her lunch and she didn't cry for my food again. Now if we could just work on not throwing tantum's when she doesn't get her way we would be set! I guess when you bring a 10 month old baby into their forever home there are gonna be things that need to be "fixed". Below are a few pictures from the last few days. Well we have been fostering for a whole week LOL We have had good days and bad days. Most of Kirsten's issues are sleep issues (she is a very restless sleeper) crys out a lot in her sleep and rolls around A LOT! I've been keeping track of how she seems to play out her day and have build a schedule around that so we are going to start trying to get a schedule worked out which I think will help with her transitioning. She seems to like to take her naps in her jumparoo LOL and if it means not needing a bottle to go to sleep thats ok with me :-)

My friend Ashley is arriving in Gutaemala to pick up her daughter Bella (who actually lived with Kirsten in her foster home) so we are excited to see her and Bella and I think it will be cute to see them together again.

Things are going ok still....I have much respect for single moms, how you do this everyday by yourself amazes me!!!!! Yesterday early morning Tom left to go home and Kirsten was not in a good mood and it made it a very stressful day! It has been a long day and a half with maybe a total of 10 hours of sleep for me...I wish they had Starbucks here!!!!! Here are some new pictures.

Well we have had Kirsten for 4 days and things could not be going better! She laughs a lot, smiles a lot, thinks the word NO is funny and is just SO in love with her daddy. Tom went to the market and Hiper Paiz (it's like walmart/sams club) and bought Kirsten a new walker and a high chair. We are really starting to see her personalilty and couldn't be happier. She LOVES to try and walk, sometimes even to the point she cry's to get down and wants to walk - with our help of course. Below are a few pictures from today.

We are here and we dont ever have to give her back!!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!! That still has somehow not sunken in yet. The Marriott is beautiful and all the families here are so nice and helpful! Kirsten had a bit of a ruff day yesterday (better then expected though) and she seems to be fine today. The FM didn't start to cry until she gave Kirsten a kiss goodbye.....I felt so bad for her but luckly there weren't the waterworks I was expecting. I will post some pictures a little later :-)

Officially 1 week until I leave to FOSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! Kirsten and Tom are already packed and I have been shopping my butt off (and trust me I have lots to go!) for clothes and stuff. I got my Hotsling in the mail yesterday and was so excitied. For all you mom's if you have a child under 3 and do not own a Hotsling, there is something wrong with you! Check them out hotslings.com
